GDPR Compliance

Colin Eagle BSL complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which was launched on 25th May 2018 and can confirm personal data is:

​

• processed lawfully, fairly and transparently

• collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes such as the performance of your contract

• adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary

• accurate and kept up to date where necessary

• kept for no longer than is necessary where data subjects are identifiable

• processed securely and protected against accidental loss, destruction or damage

Colin Eagle BSL will:

​

• only collect personal data that is adequate, relevant and necessary to fulfil interpreting services

• the information will not be shared with anyone else unless in an emergency where a second interpreter is required to fulfil the booking on my behalf

• the information will be held on a secure email account and electronic booking form

• record name, address, email address and phone number of the client and or customer for the purpose of fulfilling the assignment and or submitting invoices / receiving payment

• a record of the booking will be kept for legitimate reasons only (book keeping) which must be retained for a period of up to 7 years

Personal data will not be retained longer than necessary, unless there is a legal reason for extended retention. I will conduct a regular review of data retained and erase when it is no longer deemed necessary.
