A Bit About Me
Colin Eagleson
A freelance British Sign Language Interpreter currently based in Bieldside, Aberdeen. I am originally from the Scottish Highlands and grew up learning and using British Sign Language in order to communicate with my profoundly Deaf sister.

I decided to pursue a career as an interpreter having witnessed first-hand the benefits of using a Sign Language interpreter. I enjoy meeting new clients and working in a variety of settings.

I initially started my BSL training in Glasgow before moving to England to study BSL Interpreting. In 2014, I graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a first class BA (Hons) Interpreting BSL / English degree. Since then I have gained valuable interpreting experience whilst working for a BSL agency. I achieved my Registered Sign Language Interpreter qualification in 2016. I decided to go freelance in 2018 mainly working around the West Midlands and in the summer of 2022 I relocated back to Scotland.

In my spare time I enjoy cycling - weather permitting of course! I also enjoy travelling, spending time with my wife and young son.
